Local AR was engaged to design a complete backyard upgrade including a swimming pool, summer kitchen, and fire pit. The project required schematic design, design development, and permit drawings, resulting in a cohesive plan for expanding outdoor living. With the pool and deck already built and the other permits approved, construction of the remaining features is now underway.

The swimming pool and deck form the centerpiece of the project. Designed with a clean rectangular layout and integrated spa, the pool creates a versatile space for both recreation and relaxation. The surrounding deck enhances usability while meeting drainage and safety requirements, ensuring long-term durability.

The summer kitchen was conceived as a fully equipped outdoor cooking and entertainment hub. Featuring a 48" grill, smoker, side burner, refrigerator, and durable cabinetry, the design combines function with weather-resistant finishes. The concrete block framing and granite surfaces provide resilience while seamlessly tying into the overall backyard setting.

The fire pit complements the pool and kitchen, offering a cozy gathering space. Designed around a pre-manufactured natural gas unit, the fire pit balances efficiency and safety while integrating cleanly with the deck. Its placement enhances the flow of the outdoor environment, extending the home’s living space into a year-round destination for family and friends.
